11 Months Old!

I can't believe my baby is 11 months old and I'm planning his first birthday party. Anderson will have his first birthday and party on August 21st! I am so thankful for the past 11 months! They have been the best 11 months of my life.

Anderson has been such a busy boy this month! Here are a few things that have happened this past month.

- He still has 8 teeth
- He is into everything! This morning he climbed up onto our studio day sofa!! It really scared me because I realize I can now not even leave the room for a second when he is playing.
- He eats almost all table food and we let him try whatever we eat. He has a big appetite and loves food! Even if I've already fed him if he sees someone eat he will start smacking his lips together asking for food.
- His first word was "dada". Although I thought it was dog, I think it was an approximation and he does not say it clearly. He clearly says "dada" though ALL the time and has started say "bye bye" this past month. He can say "mama" but only chooses to say it occasionally. It melts my heart when he says it and I can't wait to hear it as much as he says "dada"!
- Going with the last one...I think he is a daddy's boy :)
- He pulls up on everything and is starting to cruise but is not walking on his own yet.
- He gives kisses and high fives! He also loves clapping when he likes something.
- He raises his arms when we ask him how big he is and likes to sign the word "milk" when he is hungry or thirsty.
- He still loves his pacifier and loves his blanky and silky dog when he is tired. He crawls straight to the crib and looks for them in there and pulls them out!

We are so excited about next month and celebrating his one year birthday! We love you sooo much Anderson!

Cousins

This was my favorite photo that Emily took of our family with Foley. I love how Anderson is showing her love in this picture. :) I forgot to post it but just came across it when I was looking through my pictures. I know they are going to be best buddies!

I'll Love You Forever

This is one of my favorite children books of all time. My first graders loved it when I would read it to them. They would read aloud the repetitive words with me throughout the book. It's such a powerful book about the bond between a mother and a son. I know it will be one of Anderson's favorites as well.

Cape Cod

On July 1st we loaded up the Nissan and headed up to Cape Cod for fourth of July weekend. We had a busy 6 days and had a very fun trip!

Although we did a lot there was also a lot of relaxing and down time. :)

On Thursday night we went to the Valiga's for a BBQ. Anderson loved seeing his cousins!

On Friday we headed to the beach.

On Saturday Nana and Grumpy came down with the stomach bug. :( We decided to head to Provincetown for lunch and shopping.

This last picture captures Anderson's favorite activity from the trip....chasing Brady! Brady is not a very friendly dog but he did surprisingly well with Anderson constantly chasing him. We will definitely need to get him a dog one day. He is obsessed!
