Spit Bubbles

When Anderson was a baby I used to stare at him sleep and smile every time he formed spit bubbles on his lips. I thought it was the cutest thing and remember taking many pictures of him sleeping like this. In the past week I've had deja vu watching Annabel do the exact same thing. I don't know if all newborns do this but I do know that for some reason I find it adorable!

Visitors

Shannon was so nice to come to Hoboken during her business trip in NYC. We had so much fun visiting with her and are so happy she was able to meet Annabel!

Nana and Grumpy came to visit us last weekend!

We went to Stacks for breakfast on Sunday morning before Nana and Grumpy had to head back home. This was Annabel's first time at a restaurant. Do you see her in the ergo carrier? That's where she stayed the entire meal :)

We've had more visitors and I've been terrible at pictures! Thank you to The King Family and Natalie for also visiting us!

Brother & Sister

Since our hospital stay Anderson has been fascinated with his baby sister. He constantly wants to be by her side giving her kisses and hugs. There has been no hint of jealousy and I have a feeling it will stay this way. He seems to have such adoration for her and knows that I need to give her milk, change her diaper, or help her get to sleep. Annabel rarely cries and when I was giving her a sponge bath the other night she started to get upset. Anderson stood by her side, lips puckered out saying "it's okay baby Annabel, it's okay". He was so upset that she was crying! It really made me so thankful for such a loving and sweet son. I knew he'd always be protective over her but I did not realize it would start at the tender age of 2!

Home from the hospital and not wanting to leave her side!
He loves watching Annabel sleep in her swing

I couldn't love them any more!

Annabel Marie King

Annabel Marie King arrived on Saturday, December 3 at 7:52 am. She weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and was 20 inches long. She is perfect and we couldn't be more in love! Here are pictures from our hospital stay.

Such a proud big brother

So happy to be going home!
Anderson wheeled me out :)

Although we thought we had a plan for Annabel's arrival she came on her own two weeks before her expected due date. We are so thankful for a healthy and beautiful baby girl!

Thanksgiving

This was the first Thanksgiving in five years that we did not travel up to Cape Cod for Thanksgiving. It felt a little strange to wake up in our apartment but we made the most of it by putting up our Christmas tree and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. In the afternoon we headed to the Schneider's home for Thanksgiving dinner.

He loves playing with their train table when we're there

Bob made so much delicious food...
Goat cheese mashed potatoes
Vegetables
Delicious turkey
2 trays of stuffing - one with oysters!
It was a perfect meal and they sent us home with a ton of leftovers

Here's a short clip of Anderson enthralled with the Macy's parade :)

The Past Few Weeks

November is flying by! I can't believe Thanksgiving week is here. I have kept busy the past few weeks enjoying the last one on one time I'll have with my baby boy. Pretty soon he'll no longer be the baby and he'll have to share my time with his sister.

Anderson could go to Pump it Up every day. It is an open play space with slides, a moon bounce, toys, etc. He was in heaven during our last visit there and still talks about it.
Best buds, Eva, Anderson, and Gavin waiting patiently to go into the play area. Look at how much they've grown since the last time I had a picture of all three of them together! Although we are sad we can't travel this year for Thanksgiving, we are thankful we have the Schneider's to spend the holiday with.

Sitting patiently and watching the video on the rules before heading in.

Kristin and Ryan came to visit the second weekend of November. We had fun going out to eat, walking all over Hoboken and the city, and getting lots of time to catch up.
Out to dinner at Zack's Saturday night
Ryan and Anderson became best buds!

Last week I took Anderson to Kidz Village another play space that is a treat for him to go to. He had so much fun.
Walking around with the grocery cart :)

We also went to Liberty Science Center in Jersey City last Wednesday. I only took one picture but he had so much fun playing in the Iexplore exhibit with his friends Gavin and Lars.

Fun at the park!
All bundled up in his new winter gear :)
We haven't let daylight savings stop us from an after dinner park outing! Rolling his tow mater car down the slide with daddy.
My final and favorite picture. Anderson woke up on Friday at 5:30 in the morning so I brought him into bed with us to hopefully fall back asleep. When I woke up an hour later I had to grab my phone to take a pic of how snuggled they both were.
