Our Weekend

Anderson loves the zoo. He knows that the zoo means animals and also a train ride! Turtle Back Zoo is in West Orange, NJ and is about 25 min away. Yesterday was our 4th time going to this zoo! It really is a great little zoo with farm animals, penguins, bears, camels, and monkeys.

Here is a video I took of Anderson the last time we were at the zoo. He sure does love the train ride!!

He was pretty tired by the end of the morning! Decided to lay down for a bit at the gopher maze.

After a long nap at home we spent the afternoon at Pier A. It is so nice down there since it's right on the water and always breezy.
Having a mini cupcake as a treat - yum!

So excited to play with ball :)

Anderson loves the remote control car Grumpy gave him!
Overall, we had a great weekend. The weather was great and we took advantage of it by spending most of our time outside!

Sweet News

On July 7th we went in for the anatomy ultrasound. We couldn't wait to see the baby and find out what we were having. Dan purposely wore a pink shirt to work and I got so mad at him! I told him he couldn't openly tell everyone what he wanted. He ignored me and proudly wore his pink shirt, positive that it was going to be a girl. Shortly into the appointment the ultrasound technician asked us if we were ready to find out what we were having. When she said, "It's a girl!" I immediately started to tear up.

Here she is!

Sucking her thumb already

I couldn't be more excited for a sweet little girl. I can't wait for bows, dresses, and dolls! I am so excited for a daughter to do fun mom and daughter things with. I know Anderson is going to be the best protective older brother. I feel so happy and blessed.

Cape Cod Fourth

On June 30th we headed up for our annual Cape Cod 4th of July weekend. We were able to spend over 4 days visiting Nana and Grumpy. Anderson had so much fun playing with all the exciting toys and spending time with his favorite buddy, Foley.

My favorite part of the trip was seeing the parade through Anderson's eyes. Last year he was 10 months old and lost interest after 5 minutes. This year he was so excited to see all the excitement, antique cars, and children pass by throwing candy. His favorite part were the fire engines and sirens that came at the very end. I just loved watching him as he gazed in awe as the big red fire trucks drove by.
