Cape Cod Birthday Weekend!

On Anderson's actual birthday we woke up and had breakfast with Ella and Ello on main street Hyannis. Anderson was so excited to have a mickey mouse pancake! Afterwards we walked around and he was able to go on the rides on main street. We then decided to do a Hyannis duck tour! Dan was finished with golf by then and joined us. It ended up being a lot of fun and all that mattered was that the birthday boy loved it. :)

On the duck tour!

The rest of the weekend flew by! We were able to go see little Nana and spent some time on the beach.

Our little boy has become a fish in the water. He loves swimming!

Snack time!

We had such a fun trip and are sad that it's over. Anderson had such a great birthday weekend and know he'll be talking about it for a long time.

Anderson's Birthday Party!

On August 20th we celebrated Anderson's birthday at Nana and Grumpy's house in Cape Cod. Anderson loves the movie Peter Pan (the old Mary Martin version) so we decided to give him a Peter Pan birthday!
Playing outside in the pool got the party started. Anderson had so much fun with his cousins, Caroline, Jonathan, and Nicholas!

We then played a game of throwing black water balloon (canon balls) at Captain Hook.
Everyone watching!
Caroline won the prize for this game!
Anderson and his best buddy Nicholas
The three cousins relaxing. They ate their dinner outside on these chairs

Next game was pin the treasure on the X
Ello gave it a try too but Jonathan ended up winning the prize!
Time for cake! Anderson loved his Peter Pan cake
With cousin Caroline

So excited to be 2!
Nana & Grumpy thank you so much for letting us have Anderson's 2nd birthday party at your home! The food was delicious and everyone (especially Anderson) had so much fun! I will post the video of us singing Happy Birthday to Anderson as soon as I get it uploaded.

Visiting Virginia Part 2!

We had lots of fun last week during our visit in Virginia! Anderson loves the change in routine and having a lot of space to run around and play. It's been so nice to take advantage of going home to visit more than usual this summer. I know pretty soon traveling with two will be a lot more work so we will continue to take advantage until I can't travel anymore come November.

Anderson loves the pool. Like I said in the previous post the puddle jumper was the best purchase this summer. Here he is cooling off after running around outside.

We went to Tysons one day to walk around and ride the "choo choo" train. He loves trains and Ella was able to ride around the food court with him and hear him wave "bye" to everyone they passed!

Out to dinner at El Poblano in Arlington. I had the best fish tacos!

I've said it before but all grocery stores need to have a few carts with cars attached. This one even had a TV inside of the car! This would make grocery shopping a breeze in NJ! We had to deal with a major tantrum trying to get him to leave the grocery store!

Having fun at the park!

Anderson turned into a little tennis player during our last two visits. He loves it so much he got his very own tennis racquet for his birthday from Ella and Ello. His new tennis racquet is not in these pictures. He is playing with one that is as big as he is in the pics below. :)

He always takes a bucket of tennis balls with him to the tennis court

Practicing his shots

Getting ready to serve...

Concentrating...

And a follow through shot :)

I can't believe the next time we'll be back home will be for Tyler's wedding! 9.10.11 will be here before we know it!

Visiting Virginia

We are in Virginia right now visiting for a few days. I have not been doing my best at taking and uploading pictures lately, but these are a few that were taken from our previous trips this summer.
Cathy and Matthew's birthday in May! I am so late posting these, but I love this picture!

Helping CC blow out the candles!

Eating our favorite Whole Foods cake but not wanting his picture taken :)

Making lemonade!

Visiting Cathy's apartment in Alexandria

Cathy and Anderson being silly!

His absolute favorite thing to do while we are in Virginia is swimming in the pool! We got him a puddle jumper life jacket and it is the best thing ever. He can practice his swimming all by himself and feels like such a big boy doing it.

BEST purchase this summer!

Can you tell he loves the pool? :)
