CC is getting married!

Anderson and Annabel love their Aunt CC so much and I know they can't wait to have an Uncle Relly too :)

Annabel's two words are agua (water) and dada. She loves her dada. The other day we were on the bed when I noticed her pointing to the picture frame on the night stand. I had to capture it with my phone because she wouldn't stop kissing the frame!

Asheville

For our anniversary celebration we decided to head to Asheville, NC. We left Sunday morning and headed to the Grove Park Inn for the night.

Asheville is beautiful! 

The Grove Park Inn was such a nice resort and although it was a different experience with two kids in tow we made the most of it and had a great time! Today on our way home we stopped at a pumpkin patch as well at some outlets. I really did love Asheville and can't wait to go back. 

Five Years

Happy 5 years! Time flies when you're having fun. Five years ago tomorrow I married my best friend. We've been through so much in 5 years! A move to NYC, 2 beautiful babies, moving to Charlotte where we are currently building our perfect home. Can't wait to see what the next 5 years brings! 

Tomorrow we are headed to Asheville, NC to celebrate. Excited to spend a night in the mountains and finally see all the great things I've heard about Asheville!

Sunday morning at the pumpkin patch 

10 Months Old!

Annabel Marie you are 10 months old today! 

It's so hard to believe that in 2 months we will be celebrating your first birthday. 

What Annabel is up to this month: 

• You weigh 20 lbs and are about 28 inches 
• You wear a size 3 diaper and 12 month clothes. 
• You have 5 teeth (3 on the top, 2 on the bottom)
• You have been great at taking naps these past couple months. A morning one at 9 and an afternoon nap around 2. 
• You still nurse ever 3-4 hours throughout the day. 
• You are eating 3 meals a day. You love purees but are starting to like more finger foods as well.
• You love the sippy cup. You can use a straw cup as well. 
• You are finally crawling and can sit up on your own
• You can pull yourself up to your knees but not to fully stand quite yet. You're working on it! 
• You say "dada" all the time as well as an occasional "mama" You also are signing the word "leche" for milk and you love clapping and saying "yay". You also say "agua" all the time for water. 
• You love Anderson! You are so happy to see him every morning and when we go pick him up from school you get so excited. 
• We are so happy to have you in our lives and that you are our sweet 10 month old baby girl! 

Random thoughts

Annabel started crawling! She's been working on it the past month but the past few days she's been actually moving. I still can't get over how much she's changing. She's starting to look less baby to me and more like a little girl. 

I also love watching her and Anderson play together. They make each other laugh and it's the sweetest thing to watch. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

295 days old

I still have the BabyBump app on my iphone that I would look at when I was pregnant with Annabel. Today I opened it up randomly and it said you are 295 days old. 

In honor of 295 days I've compiled a list of all the nicknames we call you. Anderson has even come up with a few of his own :)

Anderson's First Day of Preschool

Anderson started preschool this month. Three days a week for three and a half hours. I can't believe my first baby has started school. Even though it's only three days a week it's still such a big deal for me to pack lunches, drop him off, check his folder for homework, etc. Such big boy things! I just love walking him into school every day. Seeing him put his lunch box in his cubby and his face light up as he sees his new friends and teacher. He gives me and Annabel a big kiss goodbye and is just so happy to be a big boy. 

Annabel and I have been enjoying those three days a week for more one on one time. I signed us up for a weekly music class, we've been going to baby library story time, and meeting with friends. So far it's been great and I know preschool is going to be the best experience for all of us. 

Wrightsville, Beach

On August 31st we headed to Wrightsville, Beach for Labor Day weekend. Two big birthdays to celebrate. Friends reunited for a weekend. Lots of babies. It was the perfect way to celebrate the big 30.

On our way there stopped at Elon. It's changed so much and is even more beautiful than I remembered

Our first experience at Wrightsville Beach was a great one. Looking forward to many more trips in the years to come.
