Friday

Friday morning we went to see Mr. Nigel at Toy and Co. Anderson loved it! He pushed his way to the front and was just the happiest boy to be dancing and singing with all the other kids. Mr. Nigel was so good! He is on his way to LA this weekend to audition for The Voice. We've been to many music classes since Anderson was a baby and this was definitely his favorite. Best part? It's FREE! In Hoboken we would pay $20 for a music class. We will be going back for sure! After it was over we met with Mandy for lunch next door at Blu Basil. Anderson ran around while we sat outside and ate. It was a gorgeous day.

Anderson wasn't ready for a nap when we got home so we decided to go for a walk to go get ice cream. There is a soft serve place at the end of our street which will be nice when it gets really hot and we need a cool treat.

I don't think i've posted a picture of them in their double stroller yet. Anderson looks huge! But, there is plenty of room under the canopy for him to grow. We've been using the stroller a lot on our walks to the park and around the neighborhood.

On another note we are a binky free household. He has been grumpier. He has been harder to put down for naps and at night, BUT he has done so well. He has not asked for it once! Tinker Bell brought him his play kitchen that he's been wanting (see him sleeping next to it?) and he's been happy. He has been cooking up a storm and I think he realized it was time to say goodbye to it because he is a "big boy".

Our Weekend

This past weekend was so much fun. It was the first time that there was a reunion of friends where I did not have to travel anywhere! Charlotte is great in that I am so much closer to everyone.

Tyler arrived on Friday to stay with us for the weekend. We loved having her visit us! We did lunch on Friday, shopping on Saturday, and went out to eat Saturday night.

Will came over for a little play date on Sunday morning. They are one month and five days apart!

Annabel was so happy to have visitors this weekend. Hopefully we'll all get together again soon!

Charlotte Jr Gym

When we first moved to Charlotte I went to the Dilworth website and found there was a TOADS play group held once a month for toddlers. I thought this was a perfect way to meet other moms and for Anderson to make friends. The first play group was held at Charlotte Jr Gym and he had so much fun! I was also able to meet moms so it worked out great. Since Anderson loved it I decided to sign him up for a pre-gymnastics drop off class. This is the first time I have ever dropped Anderson off so it was a big deal for both of us! The drop off class happens once a week on Tuesdays for an hour and a half. The first hour they do open play and the last 25 minutes are spent sitting doing musical activities. The first time I dropped him off I prepped him by telling him he was going to be a big boy and go to Charlotte Gym by himself. He seemed to get it until we pulled up in the car pool lane and the teacher opened the door to take him. He looked back as he was walking in with the most confused face and it brought tears to my eyes!

When I picked him up he was all sweaty and happy and gave me the biggest bear hug and kiss. It was so sweet.

Since I never took a picture of him on his first day of being dropped off, I took one today. He had so much fun posing for me.

St. Patrick's Day!

Saturday we went to uptown for the St. Patrick's Day parade. I wish I had taken more pictures but Anderson had so much fun! They take St. Patrick's Day seriously down here! So many people, floats, rides, food, etc. Anderson spent the entire time on Dan's shoulders taking it all in.

When we got home there was a package waiting for us from The Mulcahy Family. How cute is this little outfit? Perfect for St. Patrick's Day :)

We have been a little under the weather since Saturday. Anderson caught a cold and gave it to all of us. Poor Annabel has her first cold. Anderson is finally feeling a bit better and will be going to Charlotte Gym Jr. today for the second time. Will be doing a post on that later today!

The Binky

Anderson still has a binky addiction. I refused to buy any more a long time ago and his one binky that was left got so gross I threw it in the trash.

Annabel on the other hand refuses to take any pacifier I offer her. I've tried every brand and failed. She loves soothing herself to sleep by sucking her hand.

So what did Anderson do with no binky? Found Annabel's tossed aside binky of course. This is a "newborn" size. And it's pink. He doesn't seem to care in the least bit.

p.s. We do have a plan for the binky fairy to come soon. We've been talking about it with him for a while now. We tell him tinker bell is coming to take his binky and will leave him with a toy. He seems to get it. We may even do it this weekend. Are we brave enough? Stay tuned....

Favorite thing about Charlotte so far...

The weather! I need to go shopping tomorrow to buy Anderson more spring clothes. It's going to be in the 80's this week!

We are excited that the 10 day forecast doesn't go below 70! We'll be having many outdoor picnics this month.
