Our Week in Virginia

Reading with Ello as soon as we arrived

Sweet Annabel loves her Aunt CC

Wolf Trap on Friday night to see a Beatles Tribute Band

Too much fun jumping off the diving board

Annabel enjoyed the pool too!

Anderson loves his Tio Abo

Enjoying the weather and cooking out on our last night

We made it back to Charlotte! Annabel does so much better in the car these days

We had such a fun visit in Virginia. Anderson probably enjoyed it the most. Between the pool, playing all day, and eating lots he was in heaven. My only regret is that our visits always go by so fast. We were sad to leave but look forward to our next visit - hopefully soon!

Annabel's Christening

On June 16th we had Annabel's Christening. Reverend Brown led the ceremony while we gathered around outside. It was a beautiful day and afterwards we celebrated inside with food, family, and friends.

Thank you to everyone who was a part of Annabel's special day. Between everyone that came, the beautiful weather, and food we couldn't have asked for anything more. It was all perfect and a day we'll remember with fond memories.

Spanish Summer Camp

No one had to tell me Anderson was ready for school. He is the most social little boy and I knew he was beyond ready months ago. Once September comes and he joins the 3's classroom at Dilworth Weekday School he is going to be over the moon when he realizes he gets to attend three days a week.

Since I wanted him to socialize and ease the transition to preschool we decided to enroll him in two weeks of summer camp. When I came across this Spanish Summer Camp on a Charlotte Moms blog I knew I had found the perfect camp for him. He was excited to attend camp every single day. From 9 am to noon they did crafts, cooked, played, and ran around outside. The best part is that all the activities, songs, and cooking were done in Spanish! I was so happy when I picked him up the first day and they told me he understood everything and was even speaking Spanish to them.

6 Months Old

Happy 6 Months Annabel!

I just looked up the blog post when your brother turned 6 months old and I love seeing how different and alike you both are at the same age.

You are eating solids now. You love food and I've started giving it to you three times a day. Your favorite are most fruits. You have not been too picky which I love.

You are still waking up once in the middle of the night. It may be because you're still nursing but I really don't mind. You always fall right back asleep after I feed you.

You can sit on your own for a second or two and then topple over. You're also getting two teeth which may explain why you're waking up at night.

You have added so much love and sweetness to our family in the past 6 months! We love you so much!
