The rest of our trip!

After 2 days in Disney we drove to St. Petersburg for four nights. We had beautiful weather and the best time enjoying the beach, pool, and our favorite restaurants.

Enjoying some seafood and a beautiful view at lunch time

Loving the beautiful beach weather!

Anderson swam in the ocean every day. The water was freezing!

Going to the beach after dinner for some ice-cream

On the drive back to NC we stopped in Savannah for the night and ate at A Pirate's House. So much fun and the food was really good!

Overall it was a wonderful vacation. We love Florida and can't wait to go back - hopefully soon!

Disney World

We had a wonderful 2 days in Disney World! Anderson had been asking when we would take him and we decided that the next time we planned a vacation in St. Petersburg was the perfect time to do it.

After lots of planning we decided to leave on Friday and drive to Orlando (8 hour drive) and then stay the night in a Marriott, waking up the next morning and getting to the Disney resort early. We spent all day Saturday and Sunday at Magic Kingdom.

These two did so well for 8 hours in the car. Thank goodness for movies and snacks :)

All smiles after hitting traffic a few times and arriving in Orlando just in time for rush hour traffic. We just wanted to get there!

We made it!!

We went to Downtown Disney to walk around. All the restaurants were packed so we left after exploring a bit.

And went to get some Mexican and margaritas to celebrate surviving our long road trip!

After dinner we went to the Marriott we were staying in Friday night to get a good nights sleep. We knew the next two days were going to be busy! We got to the Wilderness Lodge in Disney World at 7:15 am and our room was READY! We were able to leave our luggage in the room and take a quick picture of the beautiful courtyard view.
We loved this resort and would have enjoyed the pool and the water slide if we had more than just one night there.

After a quick service breakfast at the hotel we headed to the dock to catch a boat to Magic Kingdom.

Excited to finally get there!

We're here!

One of Anderson's favorite rides was Dumbo the flying Elephant. We made sure to go on it again on Sunday too.

On the Goofy roller coaster - Anderson is all smiles before it was about to get going. He did not care for roller coasters! He told us not to take him on any more scary rides after we did this and Thunder Mountain.

Spinning around in the Teacups

It's a Small World

Carousel - We saw Cinderella's evil step sisters and step mother on the carousel. They were funny to watch since they were in character and being really silly.

 The Jungle Cruise

Getting a popsicle after a long morning

We took the boat back to the hotel in the afternoon for nap time. We had dinner reservations at 8:00 at Tony's, The Lady and the Tramp restaurant, and knew it would be a late night.

Heading back to Magic Kingdom after they both took long naps

So happy to be in Disney World!

Watching the parade

We ate dinner, went on one more ride, saw some of the electric parade and then got on the boat to go back to the Wilderness Lodge just in time for the fire works show to start. Saw the fireworks headed back on the boat which was very cool!

Day 2 - We had to go do the Dumbo ride again

Meeting Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, and Eeyore at lunch

Annabel was more interested in her pasta then taking a picture with Tigger :)

Meeting Woody and Jesse from Toy Story

Anderson loved having all the characters we met sign his autograph book

The Speedway was Anderson's other favorite. He got to ride the car around the track and was in heaven! We had to do this ride twice as well.

Annabel thought it was fun too!

Meeting Chip and Dale

Another highlight was meeting Mickey Mouse! We went backstage to his dressing room and what a nice surprise to know that Mickey talks to you! Most of the characters don't  talk but Mickey was very chatty and even told us a joke. :)

Mickey signing Anderson's autograph book.

We had a very fun two days. We were so tired afterwards we couldn't imagine having done more! We did almost every ride in Magic Kingdom. Dan and I even took turns with our fast pass and did Space Mountain while the kids ate a snack.

We know we'll be back again!!
