The Past Week

Annabel is getting so big. She's weighing 12 pounds 7 oz which is the 98th percentile for her age. I put 6 month pjs on her the other day and they fit!
Anderson continues to always want to see, hold, or kiss her.
I was in the other room and walked in to see this. Note the sticker he put on her and cars on her lap. He was also entertaining her with that light up toy.

So excited to hold his sister!
Look who's smiling! She started to smile about a week ago
They both LOVE tubby time
That's all for this past week! We're off for a walk now to enjoy the warmer weather we've been having.

6 weeks old

Annabel will be six weeks old tomorrow. Having a second baby is so much different than the first time around. With Anderson I was so nervous about schedules and what the books said but this time I know it will all turn out okay and it goes by so fast! So I'm enjoying waking up in the middle of the night, the fussy time from 5-8, and the craziness of juggling a newborn and toddler. She is such a good eater and has been sleeping for up to 4 hour stretches at night. My only complaint is her fussy time and that's only because it's hard when I also want to give Anderson attention. She is such a good baby for the other 21 hours in the day so sometimes I think it could be my diet that's giving her trouble. She also had a rash on her face this morning so I'm eliminating dairy from my diet to see if that makes a difference. I am so excited for this three day weekend and to have Dan home to help!

I can't get enough of those cheeks!

Christmas in Virginia

On December 23rd we drove down to Virginia for Christmas! I have to admit I was very nervous about a four hour car ride with a newborn but she did great. We had to stop 2 times to feed her but she slept for the majority of the ride. When we got to Virginia there were so many people that were excited to meet Annabel!

Cathy and Relja meeting Annabel for the first time
Uncle Aussie with his niece
Snuggles with Ello

Christmas Day
Brother and sister had matching pjs
Looking through his stocking!
Showing off his goodies

All dressed up! Anderson has become VERY picky lately about he wants to wear. I didn't think it was normal for a 2 year old boy but my dad said he was the same way.
One of my favorites
Christmas dinner was so good!
Ella and Anderson cooking tortellini

We didn't venture out much but did manage to do some grocery shopping one day
We also went to Tysons one day..It started out great and ended with two crying babies...
Anderson's absolute favorite part of the mall - the train! Daddy was lucky enough to get to ride around this time.

On other news...guess who's potty trained? We've had a couple accidents, but the majority of the day he's been running to the bathroom to go on his own. The trick was to leave him diaperless. The only 2 accidents he's had are when his pants are on. If his diaper and pants are off he goes right to the bathroom.

And lastly, Annabel turned one month old on Tuesday! One month flew by! I'm hoping it slows down a bit. I'm trying to enjoy every second of this newborn stage. I know I'm going to miss it so much!

One more...because I love comparing pictures of them!
